Felltarn win EVA Small Business Award 2018

We are thrilled to have won our SECOND Enterprise Vision Award!

Last year we were the proud winners of our first EVA for Creative Industry, so to receive an award for best Small Business this year really was beyond our wildest dreams.

The EVAs recognise women in business across the whole of the North West UK – from Chester to Carlisle, Stockport to Southport, any business, charity or social enterprise with a woman at the helm is eligible for an award.

It’s quite a process to get through to the finals, with nominations and shortlisting preceding a 20 minute interview (or ‘grilling’ as it feels), followed by the glitzy ceremony in the Empress Ballroom at Blackpool’s iconic Winter Gardens.

This has been an absolute bumper year for Cumbria as a county, with 17 women receiving nominations across 9 of the 16 categories. It goes to show the calibre of business women in our little corner or England is as high as anywhere else – and we can boast the most beautiful and inspiring region to live, work and play too.

Congratulations to fellow Cumbrian businesswomen Alison Magee-Barker (AJ Lakes Consultancy); Samantha Gargett (Elton Finance); and Jules Natlacen (The Churchmouse at Barbon) who all scooped awards for their wonderful endeavours.

We’re so proud of what we’ve achieved over the last 5 years since starting Felltarn Friends – but we couldn’t get to where we are now without the help, support, encouragement and belief of so many people around us! Friends, family, mentors – so many inspirational people. We’re just two single mums juggling business with kids, finding ways to grow our brand and have fun along the way. To receive an award for what we do is an absolute honour.

THANK YOU!
